What this site is

An independent reference and calculator for NHS pay in England, built from published documents. It is information, not advice — not employment advice, not financial advice, and not tax advice.

What governs

Where anything here disagrees with the Agenda for Change pay circular, the NHS Terms and Conditions of Service Handbook, the NHS Pension Scheme regulations or your own contract of employment, those documents govern and this site does not. Each page names the document its figures came from, and the sources page lists them all.

Accuracy

The figures here are taken from published sources and shown as they were found. They have not been signed off by a reviewer. Calculations are simplified in ways each page states — notably that they assume steady pay and a standard tax code. Before acting on a figure, check it against the source or ask your employer.

Liability

This site is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for loss arising from reliance on it. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
